July 4th

Just a note that there was no party here at nowhere this year, pooh is getting OLD and just didnt have the energy. Also when we do party I LOVE a bonfire and those are a HUGE NO-NO'S right now. Did not have the normal fireworks either, just too dry. Naasty summer here and nasty fires burning here, there and everywhere. I know where Mark is the fires are also burning.
Well to those who have electricity. Hope you had a good holiday. To those who like me will hit the job again tomorrow may the rest of your week be as good as you deserve it to be!

Thank you Pooh!!

Yes, our fireworks consisted of "turning on a lightbulb!!" How gaily it lit, and all yellow in its cast illumination!!!

We did take Mark's famous Potato Salad to a picnic where it was fun to gather and say Howdy Do to folks we knew.

May you also find the peace, strength, lack of pain to provide your VERY SPECIAL work this week!!

Blessings on you,
Mark56:)

Same Here

((((((((((( Pooh ))))))))))

This was the first year in a long time that I didn't go to the fireworks with the rest of my family, too. Just knew I couldn't do that long walk and even longer wait, sitting on the grass. Not this year, but next year...LOOK OUT! Cuz' I'm gonna put on my red white n' blue and go! Hope the same for you as well, if that's what you feel like doing!

It was still a nice day, though. Beautiful and around 80 degrees here in the mountains, had a nice BBQ with family--good food, fun times, lots of laughs and love. That's what's important anyway, right? Nothing like hugs from kids to boost my spirits! I have such wonderful nieces and nephews who love me and treat me so well. Then I came home and had a peaceful evening, even sat out on the patio and played my guitar for awhile. As Mark says, we are truly blessed!

Big hugs,
Jan :circlelove:

Too darn hot to be out and about around here. I threw a steak on the George Forman grill and called it a day. We did have a bit of rain which pulled the temp down a bit but will be back over 100 again tomorrow. This is getting to be a bit much.

MY PASTURE BURNED UP!! and it wasn't even due to a fire...... This 2-week span of 105-115 degree days with the sun blaring has taken it's toll. My poor horses!

I'll be gone until July 11th and I pray that we get some of the predicted thunderstorms over this weekend. Thank God for a cooling trend expected to start by Sunday.

GOD BLESS to all my peeps here at NT.
See ya next week! :Wave-Hello:

Aw Rae, sorry about your pasture--that's some pretty brutal heat! Hopefully you will get some rain soon to water those dry fields and cool things down a bit. Have a fun trip, though, and leave the worries behind!

Safe travels,
Jan :p
