Fireworks...

Last night was the fourth, so took the kids out to a local baseball game with fireworks set for after. Have had a couple good weeks in a row, and didn't think anything of the fireworks...until they started! I had to cover my eyes and bury my head within minutes of them starting, was physically sick in the car on the way home, and things have been fuzzy all day. Minor dizziness, feeling out of touch, that sort of thing.

I don't know if it was the flashes in the dark, the booms, or what, but it's been an absolutely horrible day....

I know what you mean. I wore headphones so I could tolerate watching them with my hubby and kids.....felt like such a dork! I also had problems with the visual sensory.

My son wants to go to a Monster Truck rally with fireworks on Saturday... I sooo dread it!!! I bet we don't get very far through it, but we'll see. I'm afraid it will be a lesson learned for him and make him that much more depressed. Ummm oh yeah, I better go buy those ear plugs pretty quick.
