Injured worker in southern california

Hello All,

I am ain jured worker that was injured while at work at the airport and had a stroke damaging my back and rotator cuff. The insurance company Zurich states that the heartattck is non compensable and has denied partially my claim for benefits. In the meantime I thank God for a forumlike this to at least voice my concerns.

I received a letter from Zurich stating they will not accept my myocardio portion of my claim. Yet,they have never accepted my claim for my back and left shoulder rotator cuff damage. It is a never ending nightmare and I would not wish this on anyone. Thanks

Hi,

I hope someone will come along and give you some answers. All I can do is say welcome, and I hope your insurance company comes around. If you got injured on the job, why on earth won't they cover you?

Was there an actual work injury or something that caused the stroke , or they had a stroke and then got injured when they fell?

Quite a gray area I think.
If you have a heart attack on the job and no one is stressing you out to cause it, is that still a work injury, or if you fall and hit your head hard on the floor because of the attack is that a secondary injury or ??.

Something for a expert wc atty opinion for sure.
