IV Therapy

I went to the pain management doc today and she scheduled me for 2 more nerve blocks. They are only going to be a week apart, little nervous I have had one done already, with no relief. She is talking about IV Therapy, she said we would discuss more at our next visit. I was wondering if anyone has done this and can tell me what it consists of? Do I have to stay in hospital or is this an outpatient procedure? Was it successful for you?

Ivig

No.ii did not. The only reason we tried is bc I have neuropathy and that's a tx...what have u tried?

Ive done a TON of PT. pain meds, desensitizing, lidocaine patches and estem and none of it works besides the pain meds easing just some of it. Right now im looking into ketamine infusions and i just saw some stuff on IVIG and wonderd how much it helps. I have bad nueropathy, but i also have the autonimic issues. So i need to find the best course of treatment.

no I have not it has not been recommended to me yet and i first heard about it on here the other day. This is still very new to me, and i had a team est. but then had to move so trying to re est. do i have to be hospitalized for the ketamine?

From the research ive done on it, its outpaitent and its over a period of 3 days. This is all still very "new" to me too, ive known ive had it for the last 3yrs but i finally talked to my dr and he right away dxed me as soon as he heard my sympthomes, which then in return i started researching right away to see what i can do to get it in remission instead of just "managing" it.
