Sleeping on the part of your head that had impact.
Whats the deal if any with sleeping alot on the area of the head you hit. I hit the left back of my head and sleep on it alot and wonder if the extra pressure of sleeping on it is doing any damage.
|
The external part of your head has no impact on the brain. It may still be tender but that tenderness has to relation to the brain injury.
|
I believe your skull is strong enough to withstand laying down pressure. A concussion is your brain hitting the skull forcefully. Unless you have damaged your outer shell?

I know this is going to sound strange, but I actually sleep better when I sleep on the part of my head that had impact...maybe I am a weirdo, but the pressure helps with taking away some of the headaches.
It wasn't always that way, just recently, though! |
Then my advice is...Go with it! Let your body be your guide. Just be thankful that you have a way of falling asleep.
I take over the counter sleeping aids to just get into a sleeping rhythm. But, I also have to have a hot bath before hand to relax my neck muscles and in turn numb my headache. It's hard to get comfortable with this painful neck. Take care |
