Anyone have RSD spread to knees?
 

I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS after my 2nd shoulder surgery. I feel it has spread into my chest, neck and now my knees. All I know is the pain in my knees is so awful I can't sleep and pain meds are not working at this point. I feel like I'm going crazy but I have 2 kids so I just keep on pushing myself. Any insight would be appreciated..

wow insite... I have it in both legs.. basically really waist down (every where) also left arm. both arms and pectoral areas love handle area, and belly. and an area on my head. if I had any real inside towards helping you cope I don't know. I have 4 kids though and during the school year I am the main transporter. and the guy that has to do the clean up after the storm leves every morning and evening.. it is hard to do . I keep pushing and pushing. until it finally pushes back so hard I can't move. and as I look back that happens more than I care to admit. but as a parent that is where we learn real pain management. the kids always come first. I sympathize with you as I know how hard it is . but I cannot tell you it gets easier or better because I truly do not know . as for my part ?? it hasn't. but the rewards are tremendous at the end of every school year and the kids bring home every thing they had worked for. sports, music, clubs,.. and you can say .. Im glad I had something to do with helping my child achieve their goals and they are happier for it.

Anyway, mine began in my left wrist/hand when my daughter was a senior and my son a sophomore. So glad my daughter had her license cuz she drove me to the doctor the day I broke my wrist. The RSD has just spread to my legs, but is wreaking havoc on old injuries to my knees and hip...had to break out (find) my cane today so I could go to church. My kids are grown now, but I have 2 grandkids, and yes we do push on for our kids...grandkids in my case. It is difficult, but definitely worth the sacrifice. My hip was injured in a car accident when my kids were small, so I dealt with that having issues while they were growing up. Some days I had to give in and ask for help, but most days I could push through the pain for them. You can make it...it goes faster than you think.
