I had my surgery done on july 5th 2012 i spent 5 days in mercy hospital all the nurses were just great everybody. It is now the 11th of july i am still taking my pain meds not as many as before. The Operation went well i dont have the pain i had in my legs.Still got a little pain from my back because of the operation.I am able to walk some but not over do it.I go back to the doctor on the 19th,for follow up the epaduro was ok but the itch was unreal so i wanted to give you all a follow up so far so good i was told i will get stronger everyday thanks Rick

Thanks Rick for the good news! I wish everyone would give us a follow up post from their surgery! Keep updating us as you go would you? And don't forget us in the months to come. We'd like to know how your progress is even several months down the road. Would you do that? We'd appreciate that. God bless! Hugs, Lee

Great news Rick. Sounds like you're doing really well! I hope it continues. The fact that you're doing some walking is great, as that will certainly strengthen you, and help your back as well. Walking is the best therapy! :D

Be sure and continue to keep us updated, ok? Thanks Rick. Take care. Hugs, Lee

Wonderful news

Don't push the envelope. Follow instructions to the letter. Walking is the closest thing to the magic bullet we all want. Keep moving. Increase gradually. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself. Don't freak out or beat yourself up when you have a bad day for no appearant reason. They happen and all you can do is go with the flow. Unless you are watching your weight (most of us are) order in your favortie pizza and watch your favorite movie. Order the pizza anyhow. :D Best wishes for continued improvement.
