Big Mistake...
It's been a year since my MTBI, and I decided I would try to exercise to see if my body could handle it. I had been jogging/walking pretty regularly so I decided to try lifting again. I lifted heavy, and it brought back my physical symptoms. I now have headaches, dizziness, balance issues, and increased sensitivity to light, sound and movement. This was 3 days ago and symptoms are still present. :\ Anyone have any suggestions? I am starting rehab to try to gradually get my body and mind back to a place where it can handle exertion.

I don't really have any suggestions, since you have been doing a little exercise already. (I am working on getting to just any exercise still) But, I feel for you and I am sorry that happened!
I don't know if lifting made you do something different to aggravate your issues, like neck strain, or if you subconsciously grind your teeth when you strain to lift? (just a stab in the dark here.) Wish I could help more. |
I found that building up with weights is the best way to go. You need to start small (I started very small). And build up. After a few weeks you won't believe that you've been able to do what you did.
