Recovering from a concussion I got 7 months ago. I've been sleeping all day long
Ive been trying to sleep all day. Like 2am to 3pm. Is this alright? I had the impression that when we're sleeping out bodies are healing or something like that. Is it best that I try to sleep all day. What should i do to recover faster from this concussion, still getting minor headaches. Thanks

Generally the months that I was able to sleep a lot I found I was getting better faster. I would say that I slept about 12 hours every night and had naps throughout the day, especially if I did a lot. I would take advantage of your sleepiness. It does help to get out a bit though, to keep your spirits up:)
I guess they say that your body only heals itself when you are in REM stage sleep, like you mentioned. But 2 am to 3pm? what is your normal night sleeping schedule? It is good to have some consistency so your body doesn't have to work too hard. hope you feel better. |
Jason,
I've been recovering for 7 months also. I have never been able to sleep that long, even when I tried to . If you are able to get that much sleep, TAKE it! lol, I don't know about you, but in my case insomnia is one of the strongest symptoms. |
I have been a full time night shift worker for 5 years and my body adjusted to different sleep times.
I'm sure the time is fine for you. The body adjusts and it will feel normal even if it isn't for someone else. Just like PCS no 2 ppl are suffering the same ailments. It's a principal. Enjoy the rest |

I've also heard people say that if they oversleep they feel more tired and if they overslept they aren't tired at normal bed times. |
