antidepressant for headaches?

Has anyone been prescribed Zoloft for the migranes? (doc suggested it because they are looking into something caffeine-free since I am allergic, and also they want to avoid a beta-blocker since diabetes runs in my family.)

Just thought I would ask. My migranes seem to be progressively becoming resistant to the tylenol/ibuprofen regimen that I have been on.

Once again I am going through the monthly headache/dizziness/nausea heck right before my cycle starts. It is really becoming unbearable...trying to stay focused here at work so that I don't think about it!

Just a vent at the end there, sorry. Back to the subject at hand: any experience anyone has had with Zoloft would be appreciated.

I don't know. I know I posted lastnight some med suggestions for migraine as I was suffering badly and my doc refuses to give me meds. Just take advil he says. But, it's no longer working!

This morning I wake up and it's still here!

Eye pain, Neck pain, Migraine, Nausea (vomited last night)

I would like to ask my doc for Zoloft. If you're doc says to take it. Take it.

At this point I'd eat tar if it would help my migraines.

Take care,

Kelly

Dolfinwolf,

Have you had any hormone analysis? Concussion can really mess up your hormone cycle.

The generic gyn does not usually look at hormone levels with a critical eye.

You may be able to find a specialist by using the referral system at

https://www.womensinternational.com/..._referral.html

or

http://foreverhealth.com/physician-search/

The second link is a new one and may not have a good database yet.

Specialists in 'Life Extension' often have an interest is fine hormone balance.

Thank you for the links, Mark! I submitted the information request and will keep you posted on what I find! :) I would have never found that on my own; I appreciate it. You guys are awesome here.
