Possible heart problem?

I was wondering if its normal to feel your heartbeat ALL the time, i know anxiety plays a big role in acknowledging every little change in your body but this is something i have felt over the past few months.

Unless im distracted by something i can feel my heart beating hard all the time. Its not necessarily fast but its a strong heartbeat.

I've had an ekg and all that, which all came out normal. The only thing the doctor mentioned was that i have something about a borderline enlarged heart?

He told me to see a cardiologist and get an Echocardiogram. I'm just wondering if this is something to really worry about...I'm somewhat convinced there couldnt possibly be anything wrong with my heart because of my age, but at the same time my family has a history of heart problems and heart disease..

I don't know, I'm sorry. But I would definitely follow up as the doc suggested. Let us know what they say...hopefully everything will turn out just fine!

Will do! I'm actually leaving to get an echo in half an hour. I really hope that my heart is just fine and im worrying about nothing, because that would definitely ease some of my anxiety.

I was going to ask how it went, but then realized that they probably don't have the results that quick yet. Oh well. Thinkin of you :o

Turns out that their cardiologist had to leave early today )= must have been an emergency or something. But the person i did see just did an ekg which came out fine, and also checked my blood sugar levels which was also fine.

They rescheduled for tomorrow early in the morning, so until then i wait

how did the reschedule go? Glad to hear your other tests were normal!

The reschedule went great, but i wont get the results back till tomorrow or the day after. I'm sure if its anything serious they'd probably give me a call anyways so it'll be comforting to know the longer i wait, the less serious it is.
