Neuropathy in feet - can it get better?
:(
Hello, I have peripheral neuropathy in my fet and wanted to know if anyone has it and had it improve enough to walk more that 200 - 300 yards without having to sit down? How did you get to the point where you could walk better? Exercise, stretching, diet, meds, supplements? Please let me know what you have tried and worked and what did not work for you. I know everyone is different, but just wanted to hear if anyone was successful? Thanks! |
:)Yes, my feet are doing great now. The supplements we all talk about and many more have helped. I got better MUCH faster after getting sugar and bad carbs out of the way. Without those things, the supplements helped faster.
I have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome from Autonomic Neuropathy) and PN and my supplement schedule this plan is for that, CFS and hormone imbalance. I have really good doctors that know supplements so I do not have to guess on dosages and brands etc. I have a schedule of supplements three times a day. I get really thorough blood tests twice a year, have saliva testing too. Neurotransmitters, vitamins, the whole nine yards. Hormone testing has been very good too. Bio identical compounded hormones have been important. Powdered Calcium and Magnesium also. CoQ10 has been very good for my heart rate, bp, neuropathy, energy. Supplements for the immune system Vit E, Liposomal Vit C, Astragalas, AHCC, Proboost Thymic Protein, Maitake D drops, Vit D drops. Supplements to help the adrenal glands like Adrecor. The methyl vits. B12, SAMe etc. D-Ribose powder two times a day has been good for mitochondria/energy as CoQ10 and l carnitine are also. ATP under the tongue and Liposomal Glutathione is great! l Carnetine (Carniclear) and Co Q10 have been important. I take NAC and Resveratrol. 5HTP raised the Seratonin level so I could sleep and feel good again. It goes down like other things with stress and illness. :) Alpha Lipoic Supreme and also the ALA MAX by Xymogen and Benfotiamine are healing my nervous system and helping the nerves in my feet. Has been great! My multi vitamin is wonderful. Ultra Preventive X by Douglas Labs. I add whey protein powder by Life Extension and First Greens to my smoothie each day. The smoothies are full of healthful foods. I am gluten free and have added lots more greens and colorful foods. I have been much more careful about sugar for my nerve healing also. I take a good fish oil. My Probiotic is a good one also. My doctors are helping me to help the symptoms and support my body so I can continue to heal. |

I DID HOWEVER, FIND SOME SHOES that were slightly bizarre, but worn by people who have leg and back problems, and spend the day on their feet -- it's called Z-COIL, and it's a TENNIS SHOE WITH A SPRING ON THE HEEL. A really big spring. It'll make you two inches taller, but lemme tell you, it takes A LOT of pressure off your feet, and you can walk a lot farther in them. Look it up. You won't regret it. I also got a pair of SANDALS WITH SPRINGS IN THE HEEL. Oh yeah. It works too. Brue |
Many doctors don't understand supplements so maybe you can find someone that does. It can only help.
