Allow myself to introduce......Myself??

Hello, 1st time reader, 1st time poster.
I found this site while looking up symptoms I'm having due to a concussion i received a couple weeks ago.
I was in a car accident and got hit pretty hard. No broken bones, but have whiplash and a concussion.
I lost all memory of 24 hours before the accident. which is scary because I didn't know about it until a few days later when I was filling out paperwork and kept putting he wrong day on everything and was corrected. Also having times where I just can't get a word out. I'll be talking to someone and then it hits and I just can't find the word that is next and I just kind of stutter until it comes out.
Anywho. Was checked at ER, went back because of memory "lapse" and went back again when I had a splitting headache that wouldn't go away. Had an CT done and was told it was negative, whatever that means. Since the wreck I have been lethargic, tired, irritated, easily irritated, mean, unable to control my anger, headaches at least once a day. neck, back and shoulder pain is still present and I go through spells where I feel like I'm just watching the world go by and am not in control of what my body is doing.
I just hope this clears up quickly so I can move on and repair my relationship with my GF and kids as I've flown off the handle a on several occasions and have said some pretty mean things.

Welcome

I feel for you and can relate. These are all symptoms of your injury. I had some teribble mood swings at first and got put on the lowest dose of depacote. It helped but did not eliminate them.

I had to figure out my anger was mostely tied to my frustration in trying to do and cope the same way I did before my injury. Try to be aware of your frustration level and realize you must stop or redirect your efforts until it goes down.

I found learning about concussions helped alot. Hope you feel better soon.
