Negative Romberg
What does it mean...Romberg was negative.
and...nystugmus ? just re read report and I don't understand what I'm reading. I hope it isn't serious. |
A negative Romberg is good. Negative test results usually mean you do not have the dysfunction the test is used to diagnose.
Same goes for negative nystagmus. Nystagmus if the horizontal eye gaze. Your eyes should be able to smoothly follow the object from side to side. A positive nystagmus signifies an injury to the opposite side of the brain. It can also signify intoxication. I have a very faint positive nystagmus in my left eye. It takes a very good observer to see it. It is just a symptom, not a problem. It can cause some convergence issues. I have had convergence issues for decades. Never been a problem except if I play sports like baseball. |
Sorry I asked that wrong. I do have nystagmus on gaze right. As it's written.
O.k I read negative Romberg meant cerebellar ataxia just confirming. Many online sites contradict each other and I've always found helpful info here. Thanks |
Is your gaze right nystagmus in your right eye?
Have you tried any ice on your upper neck? You can make a soft ice pack with 3 parts water and 1 part rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) in a zip lock bag and freeze it. You will be able to mold it to your neck. Wrap it in a towel. |
