Does nerve damage reverse??

Okay, so DR thinks I have MS, but more specifically, I have sensori-motor polyneuropathy and dymylenation (sp?) in my leg nerves. Two nerves don't even respond to stimulation. Anyway, is this damage reversable? Or should I expect to live with it?

Damage may not be 'reversible' but it may be 'work-around-able'

A great book to read is The Brain that Changes Itself.

It gives hope to re-wiring around damaged nerve connections.

Unfortunately, only time will give you that answer. Sometimes nerve damage resolves it's self and sometimes it's permanant.

You're worrying again Chek....stop that..:D:p:D

Early in the game, nerve damages can heal themselves, but MS is a progressive disease. But like they've said...most of the time, adjustable and livable.

:-( The past couple of days have just been so hard. Everything hurts! I used to be a really good, fast typer. Now I'm slow and making mistakes and every keystroke hurts or fumbles. I'm not a patient woman. I just want answers. :-P

But I guess I'll have to wait. My MRI is the 23rd, and then my Spinal Tap is scheduled for the following week. :S
