Isn't there a thing that charges ipod, tablet, etc at same time?

HI all.

Now that I have some more mobile devices in my home, I was remembering a commercial that I saw on tv that allowed people to place their cell phone, ipod, anything mobile, on top of this flat device and they would all charge up at the same time.

I presently have to plug each thing into a wall outlet to charge them up.

It would be very convenient to do this simultaneously. But each device of course has different outputs.

So is there one thing that would charge my Ipod, my Cell phone, my tablets, etc. all at the same time. I've looked on google but it's too confusing for me.

Thanks much.

Hi. Thanks much. I looked into this. It's for 2 devices. Ithought I could put all of my gadgets on this. Two tablets a phone etc. Besides I didn't know it was that costly. But I do thank you.

Mats

Most of the charging mats are made for phones. A tablet was not really considered when they were designed. I would expect something soon though as tablets have been much more popular than marketing showed. 3 phones is common for a large mat.

It sounds like you also have to buy special cases for the charging mat to work on various devices... I'd just plug each thing in as needed.

If you're sitting by a outlet you can use the tablet while still plugged it can't you?
we use our laptop on the coffee table and just plug it in when we use it. The old battery doesn't hold a charge anymore, but we don't carry it around when using it so plugged in is fine for us.

Marketing

So true. Used to be you did not have to buy an extra two or three items to get a nice product. Now it's all about grabbing the new consumer and getting the most out of them. I love my Ipad but really for the cost they could have thrown in a cheap bluetooth keyboard. It has made all the difference.

Device batteries

Battery technology has also changed, if the device has a Ni-cad battery try to upgrade to lithium. Lithium batteries are expensive put they last longer are lighter and do not have the memory drawbacks Ni-cads do.

I just love learning about all this stuff. Imagine!!! I didn't do anything wi fi in my house, until a few weeks ago, and yesterday I was sitting in a nail salon getting a pedicure and I whipped out my tablet and saw that they had a wi fi network and i said "Can I get a wi fi signal here?" And they looked at me like I was NUTS and i said "I see you have WPA security, that means you get a wi fi signal, and that means you use a password so just type it here".

The guy walks over to me, takes my tablet, brings it to the owner and she says 'Oh yes, let me do it", they type in the password, and there was Melody sitting with her feet in warm soapy water and I was doing email on the tablet.

If you had told me even 5 years ago that I would be doing this I would have laughed out loud.

How fun!!
