Arizona Governor’s Council on Spinal and Head Injuries
Arizona has a governor's advisory council that works to enhance the health, safety, and quality of life for children and adults with spinal cord and brain injuries and their families. The majority of the council members are physicians that treat spinal and head injuries, but they also have lay members, including those recovering from spine or head injuries.
I applied several weeks ago; today I received the official letter from Arizona Governor Jan Brewer appointing me to the Governor's Advisory Council on Spinal and Head Injuries. I am grateful to be able, in some small way, to pay forward some of the kindness and support I was shown after my accident. http://www.azheadspine.org/council_weare.html |
Good for you.
I'd love to hear about your experience. We have one hear in Idaho. It appears to be more bureaucratic that functional. There are few with personal experience on the council. |
