Blood test accurate when on antibiotics?

Hi,

I had a blood test done 5 days ago to check for MG. I wont have the results for another week or so, but I forgot to tell my neurologist that I am currently taking an antibiotic for an infection, and was on it for about 3 days prior before the blood was taken. Will an antibiotic cause an inaccurate test result for MG or will the antibiotic not be an issue?

I am just worried I will get a false positive or false negative because of the antibiotic I'm taking.

Thanks!

I don't think any of us are qualified to give an answer like this (with the exception of Alice), I would call the neuro back and let him know the situation. My guess is its alright as the only thing I was told was no MG meds and no caffeine, but as I said, not qualified to give you an answer.
