Cerebral Fluid leakage behind the ear
 

My daughter had a TBI in a car wreck 2 years ago. Several Bleeds that left her paralysed on the right side. Coma...but you would never know it. She has horrible fatigue and has recently been diagnosed as having hyper accusis...but there is more...constant headache, dizziness at times..ear pain, facial weakness. The pressure from storms has always been a biggy since the wreck, but something has changed and there is more. Just looking for others that have had the fluid leak. We can't get into the neuro doc till Nov.

We have a member in the UK who has a CSF leak who has not been on for a while. What is her doctor saying about her leaking?

Are you involved in a Brain Injury Support Group with her? www.biausa.org will have links to state BIA;s with lists of support groups

hello my name is doug , i had CFL next to my right eye after open brain surgery to clamp a aneurysm on 6-7-10 , during surgery the dr's cut a small hole in my skin and cut the nerves to my right eye , my right side of my face would build up fluid like a ballon and then start leaking , my PCP would drain out 50cc at a time till i could get back to the university of michigan for them to install a drain shunt in my head , that stopped the leaking and drained the fluid into my stomac , ive had the first shunt replaced and still have some problems with it today , im not sure if a shunt would help your daughter or not but it stopped my leak , good luck with her recovery its a long road take it day by day and pray to the good lord you still have her / big doug
