High cholesterol from Mestinon?

Has anyone experienced having high cholesterol from taking Mestinon? I have been on it for five years for MG. My doc says my cholesterol is very high, never had the problem before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!:)

I hope not. I haven't had mine checked since getting on the mestinon. I have worked so hard to get it down. I would be interested in hearing other comments.

I'm not aware of high cholesterol as a side effect of Mestinon, but I know that it's relatively common for people with MG to have autoimmune thyroid disorders, as well. High cholesterol is definitely one of the effects of being hypothyroid. All MG patients should have a thyroid function test (simple blood test) periodically.
