Massage therapy

I finally have approval for treatment through insurance, and so went for my first RMT massage yesterday... It was fantastic... my husband noted a significant difference in me right away... IT's hard to explain... I still had a headache but the "bite" didn't seem so bad... I just felt more able to cope with the daily grind.... I look forward to going back next week!

Any suggestions of things I should be looking for in terms of massage?

Also, I'm now starting the reading for my MAsters... and was finding it difficult to focus on just one line at a time... I found that taking a paper and covering the rest of the page below what I was reading really helped me to focus on just what I was reading, instead of my brain shutting down at the sight of a paragraph!

I found massages very helpful. If you can get a cranial sacral by your RMT those helped with some of the tension for me quite a bit. Some massage therapists can do a bit of Osteo, that was helpful too.

I recently went to see a doctor of Osteopathy (D.O) which was able to fix some of the issues of my neck and back that massage and chiro was unable to resolve. Many of the odd sensations in my head disappeared completely and my jaw which was cracking and was very tight is now much better.

Good luck

Thanks! It was a massage which ended in cranial sacral manipulations. It was just so wonderful to almost instantly feel better! Even today my headache is much lower than it has been, even with some housework thrown in!!!

I've had one massage since and found it very helpful at the time but felt very ill afterwards for some reason which has put me off having another. I saw somebody very reputable too...maybe I will give it another go.

I would have been ready a few months ago. The pressure in my head was too much. But give it a try and see. Hopefully it'll go better.
