higher dose of risperdal
i saw my doctor yesterday and asked if I could be put on a higher dose of risperdal. he said fine so now I am on four m. of risperdal. I asked him if it might help with my negative thinking and he said yes. I don't know if it is going to be too much for me but I hope not.
A friend suggested that once it gets warmer for me to spend at least ten minutes a day in full sunlight and that might help my sleeping. I guess I will try it. I am plagued with negative thoughts and although i am getting more sleep than before I am constantly exhausted. I still can't call my aged uncle in connecticut because I don't have the emotional energy and I haven't instant messaged a good friend in missouri in so long and we used to chat every day. I just don't have the energy. everything is such an effort. Bobby |
sorry to hear about the negative thoughts i my self experience this. i am paranoid about half the time with sad thoughts. hey sun is a great idea. about your energy i am also tired al the time my thyroid was way off , because off all the drugs i take i think. so ask about that maybe. also your meds may be the culprit as far as sleep maybe take the heavyier meds at night if you can and don't already. i worked in a pharmacy for eight years so i know meds can mess with just abut any part of your life. side effects i mean. also too much sleep can make you tired. bye- shelly

I just had a sleep study done Bobby, and it was determined that I have apnea, that is why I feel so tired during the day, is it possible you might have something going on when you sleep that could be making you not get a full restful sleep at night? Like snoring is a sign of apnea and I snore like a frieght train...
I hope the higher dose of risperdal works, I was on that originally and it worked good but it made me gain too much weight so I went off it and onto Abilify. I hope that you are able to get some sunlight, I have heard it helps with sleeping too, something to do with the body's internal clock getting reset to its proper setting by being in the sunlight. Also making sure you don't have any light on during the night can help you fall asleep better. Like a small night light on in the bathroom instead of using the overhead light can help you to fall back asleep easier because once you see light it triggers your body to be more awake. I hope the risperdal helps Bobby, keep us posted, I know how hard it is to drum up emotional energy sometimes. It can seem like an overwhelming task and not a easy accomplishment. I hope things get better for you soon. :) |
I hope the risperdal can help with the negative thinking. I want something to help you, so much.
I care about you deeply. You are a good friend. And I get the part that somethings are just to taxing to do. Simple conversations can just seem like so much work. Hang in there. And let us know how the risperdal works for you. |
