Acupuncture helps with PCS symptoms?

Hello everyone,

I Went back 25 pages in the forum trying to find a thread talking about acupuncture and found nothing.

Is Acupuncture a good idea for PCS suferers?? Is the nerve stimulation created in the sessions benefic or not for our recovery??

Anyone here tried acupuncture?

What are your thoughts about it?

Did it help you? If so, which symptoms improved after the sessions?

Acupuncture has been tried by many. If sometimes helps with head aches. The results have been hit and miss.

LOVE LOVE LOVE acupuncture. It is wonderful and completely helps with headaches. The idea isnt about nerve stimulation, it is opening up congested energy channels within our body called Meridians by sticking small needles into the pathways to release congested energy. You need to be consistent in the beginning and go once a week or so, or whatever your acupuncturist suggests. It took a lot of time to create the type of pain or situation you are in, so it may take a few weeks to feel the effects of the treatment. There have been tons of posts in the past few years about acupuncture helping with headaches....most have had great results. Good luck and enjoy!!

I had at least a dozen acupuncture appointments (with two different practitioners) and noticed little to no benefit. However, I have heard of others experiencing benefits from it. If you can afford it, it's worth a shot.

I think everybody with PCS should try acupuncture.

I read US army is treating with acupuncture (just google it) their solders suffering from concussion in Afganisthan.

I did so far 4 or 5 treatments. After first one or two mentaly I was better 80% but so far I didn't learn I should take care of my head better, just slight touch can make my condition worse.... but I hope it gets better and go on with acupuncture.

I would encourage everybody to go on with it. I would add to it homeopathy treatment from experienced homeopath...
