New 2 Blog & RSD
Hi, This is all new to me but I can't take much more! I had a work injury on 6/6 was Dx: ulnar nerve damage, brachial plexus ( erbs palsy ) & RSD. All on the right side, my dominant side. I'm not allowed to drive, med's don't work, pain non-stop and I don't sleep. I'm scheduled for nerve block's, getting more and more depressed. I'm a single mom, unsure if i'll be able to go back to the job i had for 20 years. My symptoms are getting worse, can't stand for more the 30-45 min or back pain. I'm a crying mess!!!

Welcome,
Glad you found NeuroTalk. You're not alone here. There are many suffers of RSD, and other compounding diagnoses that will make anyone "a crying mess." We do understand. :grouphug: I feel bad that you're stuck right now, in a painful state, with so many responsiblities. :( It's a lot to overcome. You can learn workarounds, that will get some things taken care of. Some things you may have to ask others to help with, for now, so you can heal. I might suggest you keep a daily diary, if you're able to write or type without too much irritation. List meds, foods, pain levels, activities, contacts and numbers, appointments, etc. Set reasonable goals for your condition right now, and just let other things go, for now. There's lots of information here about RSD. It is a terrible thing to suffer with. Knowledge and understanding will help you the most right now. So, take your time. Don't worry about keyboarding mistakes. We can get it, or may ask you to clarify. You'll find the simpliest things can cause enormous pain. It's not a fair trade. It is hard to go from 60 MPH to 0, I know, with uncertain roads ahead. My prayers are with you. :) |
