RSD / CRPS II Auditory Issues / Sensory Issues

Hearing: So my ears sure have become sensitive over the past year, year and a half or so. The more intense the episode of RSD the more sensitive to sounds my ears become. Crazy, annoying and at times maddening. And to boot I now have this ringing in my ears that gets pretty intense too.

Touch: I also get very sensitive to touch as well when RSD is heightened. Like if someone (like my husband) were to just try and put a hand on me, as if to comfort me, it can send my entire body into spasticity tremors.

Sight: My eyes are definitely deteriorating in terms of sight and tearing.

Smell & Taste: No problems there….

So I wonder why 3 out of 5? Will it eventually effect the other two as well? The first three are all pretty bad in their own right.

Anyway, just thought I’d put that out there as I listen to my ears in a solid ring tone that seems to get louder and lasts longer each time it happens. The sensitivity to sound is almost constant now. Any feedback would be great! I’m having a heck of an RSD kind of day today… ug! Tons of pain and symptoms. I believe I’m in for yet another long night.

I am very sensitive where no doctor even can touch me now. Any of the RSD specialists I have seen have been ok and even have said they understand. I responded to your eye post so have eye problems,I did have ear problems where I would put my hand over my ear from pain it felt like eari infections which I had but sometimes without one I still had pain. Noise bothers me as do smells but it is not painful so it is not a big deal to me compared to pain just annoying.
For myself it is best to just try to stay in the day and though very hard try not to worry about the what ifs or spread of the condition. Again this is easier said then done but I try to focus on each day and doing the best I can.
Feel better and hope the week gets better

I have ringing in my ears too, just thought i was crazy, i am tender to touch more times than not. (it even hurts if i touch stuff..) My vision is getting worse and worse.. i never had issues like this. I have these spots in my eyes, and they twitch a lot.

i dont have smell or taste issues either, i sure hope that doesnt come into play.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I too have always been VERY sensitive in my right foot and leg, but now this thing with just touch me and it can send me into what almost looks like a seizure.... ug! And yes noise, certain sounds nearly send me over the edge and God forbid if it’s a startling noise, like a pop can being cracked open, or repetitive beeps and dings. But this constant hum in my ears it a little much lately. The sounds and touch can be, in some ways, as bad as the pain. I suppose it is all relative. So sorry that smells are also a problem for you. That stinks, no pun intended.:winky:

Right?! And yes, the twitching and floaters (spots) seem to be bonus. <sigh>
Thanks for the response!

I have eye floaters. Have you had yours checked? I did and mine I guess are normal but there are so many and some probably were from high inflammation from when I had blepheritis that was out of control. Anyhow it is important to have them checked though. Hope you feel better
