does anyone have arachnoiditis??

I have not been diagnosed with arachnoiditis, I just stumbled across it while doing my searching of what could be causing me pain, and I have been searching for about a year, after my car accident and cervical epidural with no answer... I have all the symptoms I have read about and will be discussing it with my dr. I had a cervical steroid injection in feb, using depo-medrol, which I have just read that the most common complication of that medication being injected into your spine is arachnoiditis... I did not know that, and when I was being injected I had immediate pain radiating my entire right side of my body and more, I was screaming and crying, and could barely breathe, the next day I lost all function of my right arm and hand that lasted about 2 weeks or so...

I have regained function but my pain is worse then it was before and I have new symptoms, like the feeling of a bug crawling on my leg, when really there is nothing there, and that was listed as a symptom, and i havent been sure why but for a while now everytime I have to go to the bathroom, I dont even know its coming and then all of a sudden its an emergency situation and I have to hurry or I will pee myself, and that was listed as well...My pain in my neck and lower back is a burning pain it stings and at times feels like someone is screwing something into my neck or back...I also have numb toes on my left foot and occasionally pain that goes down my left leg, as well as my legs giving out on me at any given time and charlie horses, or muscle spasms in my calf muscle and occasionally have had them in the middle of my rib cage...I also do have shooting electric like pain... I am always in constant pain no matter if its one thing or all things hurting at the same time....

Does anyone have a diagnosis of this disease so they can tell me if what im feeling and experiencing is similar to you or if my pain could be this? also I did have mris and x ray done...mri conculsion is disc protrusion at c56 that contacts the ventral cord and disc bulge at c67 that does not contact cord and mild spondylosis... Also mild disc bulge at L4-5 with mild left neural foraminal narrowing...I also had a ct scan right after accident that showed disc herniation at c56...

my dr doesnt seem to think these things would be causing my pain and is leaning more toward trigger points, but I am in way too much pain too much of the time for this to just be trigger points!

Please and thank you anyone with any opinions, advice, or examples of your experience with arachnoiditis!!!

Hi hmarie, Sorry that this is so late. I have a diagnosis of adhesive arachnoiditis. It is diagnosed by MRI that shows " spinal nerves, cauda equina, nerve root clumping" or in my case " peripheral clumping of nerve roots". Have you been diagnosed now?
