Miserable Monday

Morning all!
Well in these parts it is as windy and heck and raining to beat the band. The Boston Marathon is today and they are still going to run it. Good luck people!
Sorry I haven't been around lately. Todd has been home and you know what that means.......no computer for me. He is a computer hog and I can't get on unless I sneak when he is in the bathroom.;)
I have been very active this weekend. I saw my dad for his birthday on Friday. I haven't seen him in about 3 years. Nothing has changed. I don't plan on keeping a tight chain on the fact that the contact will be regular. Saturday I went to the Dragway with Todd and did my walking around. Yesterday, was weather like I have never seen in April. First it was snow to a whiteout degree, then the tempature went up and the wind and rain came. So no walking for me yesterday and today.
Well that is the update on me.....how are you all doing????

OMG, this weather S U C K S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To make matters worse, kids are on their "spring break," DD is going to Boston Children's tonight for a procedure Wed morn (she has her prelim stuff tomorrow--blood work, EKG, etc), and I will be alone with DS for most of tomorrow and Thursday. Thank GOD his therapist is coming tomorrow morn, Wed, and Fri (so I can go to my WW meeting). On top of all that, I was awake 'til after 2 am from the nasty wind and rain. :( It sounded like the house as gonna blow apart! YUCK...

Sorry for all the biotchin'. I just HATE this nastiness...:(

LIZARD, who wants to go back to bed...:(

Good morning everyone, woke up to a wet soggy yard. I guess it rained pretty good last night and there is even a dusting of snow on the mountains behind us. I must have slept pretty good to miss the rain. I have been having a pretty rough time with my shoulder and I have been taking pain pills and muscle relaxers all weekend so I must have finally got some good sleep. Stayed off the puter to give it a rest too.

Jo-isn't rain your typical weather all year in OR? I love Oregon and wish I could move there. I have family in Coos Bay that we visit every year.

Well I am not staying on this thing long as my arm is yelling at me to stop. Catch ya later-gators...Sue

Hi guys,

Phew what a MOnday. Cranky boss and too much work but I made it through the day and kept on the diet :p . My horoscope said it would be bad month work wise and it is. Just looking for a little love and appreciation at work but I am lookin for love in all the wrong place (sing it). I am supposed to be on jury duty this week but have not been called in yet. Work will be missing me on the day I finally get called.

When I woke up this morning I was sure I would weight more but to my surprise...down 1 more pound. That like 3.5 in the last week. But I have been super duper strict. My new fave thing is apple slices.

I have been having a diet shake for breakfast, lunch is brown rice chicken and lots of veggies and then mid afternoon snack is carrots and low fat string cheese and a few peanuts. For dinner its either the shake again or turkey slices and veggies.

But I love those pre-cut apple slices. Too lazy to cut it myslef. What did we all do before the supermarket cut everything up for us. I went there yesterday and they have everything you can imagine cut-up for you. Yee Ha!

The other thing I did since I an thryoid meds is I cut out any food that can affect the thyroid for those with problems.

Well I am off to plan little mini vacation to Scottsdale for Memorial Day. Hubby and I also thinking of house on the beach in the South Carolina in August. Anyone got any suggestions I do not know the area.

:grouphug: Let's hope Tuesday is terrific :D

Bizi,

Was trying to decide which hotel. Is it really nice? I was just looking at the site and the spa menu. I have stayed at the Four Seasons but not really anywhere else. I may try the Phoencian if you recommend.

I love to travel too. I think I should have actually been a travel agent or just like that little girl in the book that lived in a hotel. No camping for me...room service
