This drug, chloramphenicol was taken of the market in US many years ago, except for special cases of infection.

In the not too distant past, this drug was used to control infections in shrimp farms in China. Shrimp imported into the US was contaminated with it. This anti-microbial drug causes bone marrow failure in some and should be avoided at all costs.
