Medication comparison
Anyone here know what the differance is between oxycodone & oxycodone with HCL after it ?
|
none...
There are two basic forms of oxy on the market now.
The immediate release often has the HCl after it. But not always. The long acting would say CR. All drugs have a "salt" qualifier after their names. But they are not listed always on the label. Tartarate, HCl (hydrochloride), sulfate, phosphate, are the most common. This second molecule provides the solubility for the drug. |
Thank You very much. I got oxy from giant for a few years & it is light blue. I had to change pharmacies because Giant by me closed. The new pharmacy gave me this round white pill with ETH on one side & 446 on the other side. I am not sure it is helping me the same.
Forgot to mention they are both from the same manufacturer ! Anyone familiar with these meds ? |
