Has Avonex always been a tier 6 on Medicare D?

I got my Medicare packet today from Anthem and Avonex is a tier 6. Tier 5 goes down drastically in price in the catostrphic period but tier 6 is 33%

Can't answer your question, Doydie, sorry. Have you contacted MS Activesource? That's Avonex's support company. http://www.avonex.com/avonex-cost-fi...l-services.xml

Good luck to you! I did Avonex for 3 years immediately after diagnosis. Is it why I'm in good shape today? Maybe.

with most ins plans (Medicare Adv included) biologics & biosimilars are generally in the highest tier, often needing to be filled thru a specialty pharmacy. *note I said most plans, not all

Thanks all. I don't have any problems in paying for it.But when I was reading my medicare booklet the teir 5 will get a discount in the catastophic period and tier 6 does not. i thought Avonex had been in the teir 5 before.
