Anyone Have ADHD Before Brain Trauma?

I have been having cognitive problems due to multiple concussions. I didn't recognize the symptoms for what they were for many months, because a lot of them just seemed like worsening ADHD symptoms. I felt like I was going nuts! ADHD symptoms aren't supposed to get worse like that, so I was afraid I was getting prematurely senile or just losing my mind! I probably never would have gone back to the doctor and figured it out if I hadn't crashed my husband's car due to extreme spaciness (another concussion) and been confronted by him about changes he'd seen in me. Has anyone else been in this boat? Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

Yes, its part of having concussions.

I have had this happen.

I have no answer to the problem. I just know its something I keep
a eye on. I just know if I start to get more spacey and off cognitively
I can't go out and drive. Or be out doing things that might be dangerous
to others.

I haven't addressed this with a doctor. Because I've worked through
it with having Physical Therapy. See I've been lucky enough to already
be doing things in therapy that seem to help me.

So I just do things with this that help it.
So I just continue using what has helped me.

I also talk to my therapist about what is going on. And they help me
find some more things to do to help.

Talk to your doctor about it.

Personality

I to have had a major shift in personality. My injury was at work and as result I must fight for treatment with the WC doctor. He stated at the last visit there was nothing wrong with me and I have recieved my return to work later. I have major anger issues, can't cope under stress, can't remember squat or think myself out of a paper bag. It should prove interesting once I clock in.

You need to be seen by a Neurologist who specializes in brain injury/srokes. I was in a car accident 12/08/2010 while working and the company has tried and tried to get out of this but I finally saw a Neurologist and diagnosed me with PCS(post concussion syndrome) and my symptoms are ,mood swings, nausia, dizziness, vertigo, short term memory loss, eye teaming problems, sensitive to light and sound.

Trying

I am trying but WC ins is not co-operating if I go outside the chain of refferal then that care will not be covered by any insurance initially. I may have to pay for it out of pocket and then try to get it added to the WC case.

On a different note my first day went OK. Did not do anything but it did make my back hurt like H__l.
