Living with Arachoid Cyst and ON

Hello my name is Heather ** I live in Upstate New York. I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst Feb 2011 and had a crainoptmy fenestration in May of 2011. The surgery was a success in maintaing the cyst size. It has return back to presurgery size but my ns believes it is still stable. I am willing to provide as much information to anyone who needs it also have a lot of resources if anyone is needing it. I inturn am seeking help. I January 2012 I had a siezure and while I was in the hospital I received my first injection for (or to see if I had) occipital neuraglia. I do. The injection only helped for about 3 weeks. I have been battling with waiting to see if the pain was from the cyst returning or if it turely was ON. Since it has been long enough my ns is certain it is ON although my last injection provided little to no relief so I am going for a consult to discuss a ON stimulator trial done. I really am wondering what to expect from the trial and if it works what to expect from the surgery. Being that I've been through an 8 hrs full open brain surgery I trust my neurosurgeon completely with my life. Just want to be prepared. Hope to get to know lots of you.

Thank you

Thanks! Seems like a great place :) I saw my pain specialist today he has approved to do the on stimulator. We are just currently waiting for insurance to approve it but he feels this wont be an issue due to my surgical past. He said it maybe in as soon as next week :)
