Audio texting

Am I the last one to know that you can audio text? I am listening to a talk show on Hallmark and they are talking about social media and texting. So I tried it and if my daughter answers I will know that I was successful in sending it.

The nice thing about texting without audio is that we don't have to hear the hidden attitudes of others. All is nicecy nice. :D

So my daughter will hear my voice and not just read it? Does that use more battery?

I do believe I'm the last person on earth who doesn't text. :o

I have only texted for about the last 3 months. My daughter who is doing everything she can to get on budget, her ex really tore up their credit score, has given up cable, internet and phone. She has the same no contract phone as I do and only has 300 talk minutes a month but unlimited texting. So texting is the main way I can communicate with her. And it has really brought us closer. We are both night owls, her later than me, and we talk a lot during the night. I still text with one finger, don't know how to find the emoticons, am glad for the spell check but do enjoy it now. I am so terrible at it that there is no way I would ever do it when driving. Even if I was good at it I wouldn't text and drive though. It takes me long enough to turn on the phone, get to the messaging section no one would want to be on the road with me.

HEHEHEH.... nope we don't text either. Texting on our new proposed plan is the SAME price as internet coverage! To save money we are forgoing it. That is $30 a month more @ AT & T.!

IMO if we need to leave a message on a phone, we do voice mail.
In fact, with roll over minutes, we should have a jillion by next summer saved up! All our friends and relatives are AT&T and free. The summer friends are mostly AT &T also! So we are getting 550 minutes/month only.

It worked!!!! Sure can't do it when you are out at a movie or eating though
