RSD in neck, shoulder, and arm

Hi, I have RSD on the right side of my neck, my shoulder, and my arm. Does anyone have any suggestions for helping to alleviate the pain besides the medication that I already take? I know heat pads, but anything else? It is a harder area to treat because I have to wear a top and bra. I have switched to strapless bras, but any other suggestions? Thanks.

Just wondering if you might have thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS)?
Many symptoms can overlap w/RSD and some have both conditions.

If you haven't heard of it here is the link to our TOS forum-

Hi, I was checked for that and the doctor said no.

Have you tried a tens unit? You can wear this all the time.

I have tried the tens unit.

how about blocks or tdsc?

I had a nerve block a few weeks ago and it only lasted a week.

my first many (I have had lots) didn't last more then a few hours, until they did them 1 week apart. Then I got a few months relief. Not all the pain was gone. But the color changes were minimal and flares were minimal and I am off my rollabout.

So maybe my doctor needs to adjust the timeframe where he does them?

Have you tried massage? Swimming in warm water? Are you bracing your arm and causing your neck and back strain?

Regarding blocks--is your doc doing them via flouroscopy? Are you awake and giving feedback until the doc pinpoints the right area? Ask what meds is in the cocktail and research other additions. This can make a big difference!
