What type of scans are those shown in the article? Are those EEG's?

They are likely from a qEEG, quantitative EEG. It has any more leads than a generic EEG. Plus, it is computer analyzed.

It is difficult to find a good qEEG clinic . The Neurologist Association published a very negative article back in 1997. Even though the article has been soundly disputed, very few if any neurologists give qEEG any credence. The insurance industry has also been fighting the validity of qEEG since it can be a very accurate indicator of concussion or other brain injury.

The qEEG comparative databases used to analyze the qEEG waveforms have an accuracy in the high 90's.

The lower set of images may be a fMRI, functional MRI. It shows what is happening during brain activity. Or, it could be a PET scan.
