Hello from Wyoming
Hi there. I just joined today from the Big Horn Basin area of Wyoming. I had Neuroinvasive West Nile Virus about 6 years ago with Meningitis. Since then I've had problems with pain in the lower legs and feet, fatigue, coginitive problems and brain fog and some strange things like "brain shocks" (my nickname for my strange electrical attacks that I get when I sleep), other wierd sleep issues, some vision problems and light/sound sensitivity. For me I think the worst part is the leg pain which is constant and the fatigue and brain fog. I'm 52 and married. I enjoy photography and exploring the backroads. I love animals (except for mosquitos).
Wyoming is wonderful, but where I live there is no support system or anything. It would be wonderful if there are any other Wyoming people here who would like to connect. It would be nice to connect with someone who understands how you can look and act fine, but on the inside you're struggling with senses that don't work right and with pain. |

Welcome to NeuroTalk. We're so glad you found us! I live on the other side of the country from you, in Virginia, so I can't help you there. I do, however, have MS (multiple sclerosis) which can be an invisible disease. So, I understand that part. The people here are friendly, helpful, and caring. I hope you find answers. |
Hello Radard
Welcome to Neuro talk. Where you live sounds just beautiful. Sorry west nile got to you. I live in Fla. and we have the problem here too. I do know that people recover from this, but you mentioned a form of it I had never heard of before. Wish there was more they could do for you regarding the leg pain and the symptoms you are experiencing. I want to make you feel welcome. Post to anyone you want and explore all the forums. If you type in under the search bar, West Nile, some other threads will come up. Glad you found us. ginnie:hug:

Hey,
Welcome to NT There is a lot here to discover that will help you. You're not alone. It's hard to deal with so many things when you're not able to do things. Just be realistic and set daily goals that you can accomplish. Don't worry about the things you can't. I know. Easier said than done. The unknown is scary. My prayers are with you. |
