I feel really ill

I tried to make an appointment with my GP but they were all gone within 5 minutes of opening.

I woke up this morning feeling really spacey and out of it. I had to get the bus to go to physiotherapy. I felt dizzy the whole way and a bit sick. The dizziness hits my head in waves. I was so tired I wanted to go to sleep on the floor.

I keep getting headaches like somebody is driving a chisel into my head in random places around my skull. I've have no appetite. I tried to have a nap but just went into this half awake/half asleep state which felt really strange. I was fully awake again within 15 minutes. Now I'm lying in bed feeling a bit like I'm underwater. I'm exhausted yet wide awake, it's absolutely awful. I just want to go to sleep but I can't.

I went out to a [quiet] pub yesterday to say goodbye to a friend who's moved away today. He picked me up and drove me back and everything but I did not do well at all and I kept having 'funny spells' as i put it to him. Now I think I'm paying for it today.

Anyway, now I'm getting that intense thudding pain, the type you get when you get up too quickly, which isn't unusual for me of course but I feel so weird and horrible today, I can't expplain it. None of this is unusual fo rme, it's just this combination of it that's so horrible. And the intensity. Every 5 seconds or so it feels like the ground's moving beneath me. I feel like I accidentally bit down on metal or something. I wish I could sleep.

Edit: Also, there is a peculiar taste in my mouth.

I didn't get this at first but it came on between months 3-6. It was almost like I was on auto pilot I would go to bed at 3 am and wake up at 7 am tired but couldn't sleep but had a feeling like the floor was magnetic and trying to drag me down.

When I did lie down it was like being on a ship rocking back and fore. 10 months on balance is till a bit poor but I get the feelings less and less.

Had the same when we went to a local pub for lunch - it wiped me out for 3 days.

Hope things improve soon

I think I've had the mega alert / major tiredness thing with it before (I'm sure I've used a sleeping + caffeine pill analogy to describe it to someone at some point) but this is just knocking me down. It's crossed my mind that I've caught the flu on top of it or something, but I doubt it because I was vaccinated a few weeks ago.

I tried listening to an audio book for a bit but I wasn't taking any of it in I was so sleepy. I must have drifted off for ten minutes and woke up with a start, very confused. I haven't been able to get more than 3 hours of sleep per night. It's like auto-pilot, you're right.

I always see it like when you've had too much to drink and you are trying to act sober and carry on but with the morning after headache.

Forget nuclear weapons if you could bottle this as a weapon - wars would be short

Or that...

Do you still feel like it or does it come and go? I'm sitting here feeling like I'm moving from side to side but I'm not sure if I am or not.

It comes and goes - no realy explanation why it does this. Its like sometimes when I am standing I will be forced to take a step to one side almost as if someone has pushed me - spooky.

I don't remember going to bed last night and woke up this morning at about 11 very confused. Couldn't eat anything till 3pm, had some cereal, bit teary, slept more. Tried to have a decent dinner tonight but I'm so tired, keep drifting off into space.

I hope this passes. I have to start moving my stuff downstairs. I don't even know where to begin. At least it's only one floor.

I am having the same kind of day. I was in a very direct conversation for over an hour last night. I actually expected to have a slow day today.

Do what you can but try to go slow.

Thanks, Mark. I hope you feel better soon.
