Immobilization?

I had an MRI last week and got bad results. On top on having RSD pains, I have bruised bones and multiple other things. The doctor said something about a cast, or boot. It is that or I use crutches 24/7 and bare no weight on it. Is this going to make it worse? I'm so helpless.:confused2:

If at all possible try to avoid being casted. Even though you are on crutches you still have the ability to have movement.

Gentle movement will help more than a cast. I constantly have to flex my fingers or the whole hand will freeze up and getting them going again sends the pain through the roof

yes avoid cast at all cost. Boot is better, you can wiggle your toes.
ANY movement is good, i know it may hurt, but you need to move what you can.

good luck

A boot is better than a cast, but immobilization in general is bad news for CRPS. Immobilization is how CRPS firmly took hold in my foot.

Gentle movement, any kind of movement.........is recommended.

Good luck!
