Cast your vote here!

I just mailed some CARAMEL APPLES from here in central Utah to Gilbert, AZ. There is other stuff in the large Priority Mail box, including a Halloween t-shirt.

When the box arrives, do you think the caramel apples will still have caramel on them? Will they be edible?

The temperature here is quite cool (snowed earlier today). In AZ their highs are about 85 degrees.

I need more information before I vote. Did you mark it "perishable"?

You need to mail one to me so I can give a more accurate assessment.......

Can I take my vote back and request you mail one here also...just to test the hypothesis of course. :D

Are they homemade caramel apples and how much butter did you use?

Debbie D 10-25-2012 03:25 PM

I don't think they'll be in any shape to eat...sorry. hope I'm wrong...

I hope they make it intact. Good thing I saw your comment under the poll that you mailed them. I was thinking they wouldn't make it there at all if you were driving. :p

Well, folks, I didn't get them mailed. I missed the USPS closing deadline last night, and again today. I may just repackage the apples to be on the safe side.

OR

I may replace them with a container of store-bought caramel dip.

OR NOT ...

cuz that would take away the fun and anticipation!!!

I could mail them tomorrow after the Court Clerk's Conference lets out at noon (I'm at a hotel in St. George, UT -- I attend the Conf. once a year and get paid to stay awake. I have learned to nap while sitting up, but haven't conquered the whole snorting and jerking thing, which gives me away every time!).

Ooooohhhh...I just remembered something: there's a WHAT WOMEN WANT show here this weekend (I don't live here, so must take advantage of all the shopping opportunities that I can, lol!)

Doing the Happy Dance everytime I think of the WWW show!!! I got my Cutco knives there last year. I can't wait to see what I discover this year!!!

Not that it will do me any good -- already spent my allowance at the fabric store. bleagh. But LOOKING doesn't cost anything, right? :winky:

Yes, of course! 1 cup butter. And I didn't overcook the caramel! Yay me!

I wish you could all come and help me eat these yummy treats. *sigh* Guess I'll have to go up to my room and eat one all by myself.

With a napkin, of course, cuz the juice runs down your chin when you bite into one of those crisp, juicy Granny Smith apples. *drool*
