took a fall
I thought I could tough out one more half day at work yesterday, but woke up with my head pounding so loud I could hear it. My guinea pigs needed their greens, so I went down into the garage to get them. While down there, one of those pounds made me so dizzy I feel, smashing my left cheek bone on the cement. Now there is an egg with a good chunk of flesh missing. It doesn't help the head any.
Has anyone else had a migraine that caused them to lose balance and fall? I didn't trip over something or slip, just lost my equilibrium and down I went. This has never happened before. No history of ear infection or vertigo. Can anyone shed some light on this? Sam |

Not moving would have been the better of the two options. I just wanted to get to work so badly I was willing to try anything. Looks like I have a golf ball attached to my cheek bone. Another weekend on meds. k

When I'm having a migraine, there is NO WAY I can move. If I do, I'll probably vomit. I cannot move my head, let alone get up. I can't even move my eyes much -- just have to stay in a dark, cool room, with no noise and a cool cloth on my eyes too. Can't move until it subsides, however long that may be. Could be 24 hrs, or 2 days - who knows. Thankfully, I don't have them very often.
But getting up ? No way. |
Leesa,
It sounds as if you get some pretty fierce migraines. Sometimes, however, there isn't any choice. My medications usually knock it back enough to allow minimal functioning. They used to work better, but that was along time ago. Without meds, I would be in bed 24-7. From what my doc says, its a rare occurence to have constant migraines, but at least it isn't fatal. Sam |
