New local neurologist
I saw my new doctor on Thursday and he was very kind, a good listener, seemed very knowledgable about MS and was also a hugger. :D
He said I should just keep doing what I'm doing now since it's working and that when the newer formulation of Copaxone comes out that is a three times a week version, I should switch to that. I think he's a keeper!! :) |
Hi Ewizabeth
YEH! Anytime you find a doctor who listens, and gives that hug, you found a good one. compassion helps just as much as medications....take care, ginnie
|
Good for you, Wiz! Makes you almost look forward to going to the doctor, huh? In any case, being comfortable, even happy with, your doctor is very important.
|
That's just great Wiz..
|
Glad to hear it sweetie!
|
Do share....what is his name? Where do you live?
|
His name is Dr Andrew Ta and he has offices in DeKalb IL and North Aurora.
|
boy, does he sound like a winner.
but, tell me about the new copaxone. i just saw my neuro for a f/u visit and he didn't mention anything about it. |
He said that a new formulation of Copaxone will be coming out that is taken three days a week, like Rebif. That will be great for those of us who don't like the daily shot and also will give our skin a chance to heal between shots.
Here is a link with info. http://www.pharmatimes.com/article/1...Phase_III.aspx |
Yes Dr. Wynn also mentioned this last visit. Good thing for us!
