Sores

Do you guys find that you get more sores/lesions in areas where you sweat more like the backs of your legs or forehead? And do you ever mistake new ones for pimples?

Yes when I was living in FL with the humidity and sweat I seemed to get sores a lot. I also have seborrehic dermititis since the rsd dx too. Also anytime for ex clothes or shoes rub I get a sore or a lot of red irritation so I try to wear lose

Yep, its where the most heat pours off me and sweat. And now since its gotten cold and my cerculation sp? has gotten worse im now getting sores under my fent patches which never happend befor, but its because im getting poor blood flow in my arms. And I know they say tell your dr if your getting sores from the patch, but its not actually from the patch, and then they say make sure you move it to another area, well theres no where else that i can move the patch without the rsd being there.

I wonder how many I've popped thinking they were pimples LOL. Of course, I find out quickly that it wasn't a pimple! Sad thing is, I'm a picker, so I keep having to scold myself

Stick to your nose, you'll do less damage that way

Don't laugh I've had an ingrown hair in my nose, Man that thing was painful, swelled so bad I could not breath thru my nose, we were on vacation and had to go to urgent care center the Dr. lanced it open and clean it out. really only killed a few hours of vacation and my wife and I laugh about it.

Ever feel like you have lesions in your mouth...like on your tongue? I feel like there's one in the middle of my tongue, but can't really see it...just feel it...and it hurts like some of the others can. It's weird. And, yes, as I said before...RSD has spread EVERYWHERE!!

I have had crps for just over a year. Began in left foot, but am having symptoms now in left hand.

I am a newbie here, and want to learn more about sores from crps. I have seen pictures of oozing sores and injuries taking longer than normal to heal.

My question is ~ what kind of sores are most common for crps? Does everyone that has crps eventually get sores? When? Do they only happen in the affected area? How do you treat them?

Sorry for so many questions, but I like to be informed and this is an area I really don't know much about.

Thank you for any responses.
Jenny

Welcome, Jenny, but so sorry you're having to join our club. This stuff is not fun, but you came to the right place! RSD/CRPS ignores ALL rules of logic...it's quite the rebel...so there's no telling if, when, where, or how bad lesions/sores might surface. Personally, I didn't really think about them until I saw that the backs of my legs were covered in scars from them. I know that's not much help, but that's my experience. I've always been a picker, so now I'm having to retrain myself not to pick unless I'm absolutely positively sure that thing is a giant disgusting pimple!!

I do hope you don't have to experience the lesions. And hopefully more people with more experience of knowing what to look for will respond :)
