Help me understand my EMG report

EMR report. he did have one lower extreminty motor nerve conduction that was in the 20's consistent with a demyelinating neuropathy, but the distal latency was not prolonged- more suggestive of an axonal neuropathy-and the motor conductions elsewhere were higher, also suggestive of an axonal prosecc. also he unusually had a preserved sural sensory resonse. So whereas one piece of evidence hints to a demyelonating process more of the evidence favors an axonal process and there is a patchiness to it that would go with mononeuropathy multiplex such as one could see with vasculitis and infiltrative processes.Nerve conductions showed evidence of a severe axonal neuropathy, but the distal latencies of both peroneal nerves also suggested an additional demyelinating componet.EMg needle exam was consistent with a neuropathic process. In veiw of asymmetery of the findings a superimposed L-5, S-1 radiculopathy or a sciatic mononeuropathy could not be excluded.
Impression: This is an abnormal study.
There is evidence of severe, chronic and ongoing, mixed sensorimotor polyneuropathy. There is a relative degree of asymmetry with the right side being more affected. In the setting of severe polyneurophy a superimposed L5-S1 radiculopathy or a mononeuropathy /ie,sciatic neuropathy cannot be excluded.

I know how you fell.At least with me they found something with my biospys. Now i can read all my blood test online from 2001 to now. They all look good.Last dec my Ac1 was 5.2 My b-12 is low 379 and in 2001 my LEUKOCYTES was high 12.1. All my blood test done last may all look good.??? and i had a doctor said something about poor circulation. lol Nervous1 i hope the skin biopsy helps.
Have you been taking a B12 supplement? Preferrably methylcobalamin since this test? 379 is not adequate for nerve functions and repair.

Yes been taking B-12 supplements. Not sure were to post the nerve/muscle biopsy results.

Glenn will see it tomorrow morning. He knows much more than I do about tests, etc. So just be patient.

I'd get a Vitamin D test too. It may help PN patients to fix if low.

Make sure you take that B12 on an empty stomach, no food for an hour or so. Take alone with water.

Vit D is fine.Had about 20-25 blood test and the either came back normal or negitive.I posted my MRI results in the spinial forum.

Do you know your Vit D results? The new normal is 50.
There appears to be many many people with chronic pain/disease who
are very very low in Vit D.

Here is the current skinny with research results:

My vit D is 34

This is my MRI report.
Chronic loss of the L2-L5 vertibral body heights. At T-12-L1 Disc bulging. At L1-L-2 Moderate spinal canal stenoisis due to disc bulging, hypertrophy of the ligamentum flavum and facet disease. At L-2 L-3 Mild spinal canal stenosis due to disc bulging, right postero-lateral disc protrusion, facet osteoarthropathy and hypertrophy of the ligamentum flavum. Also mild right side neuroforaminal narrowing wothout nerve root impingement. At L-3 L-4 Disc Bulging. At L-4 L-5 Mild spinal canal stenosis due to disc bulging , hypertrophy of the ligamantum flavum, facet disease and central to left central disc protrusion. There is a mild narrowing of the left lateral recess which my cause impingement on the descending L-5 nerve root. At L-5-S-1 There is a disc bulge with a central to right sentral disc protrusion and annual fissure tear of the L-5-S-1 level. The only root impingement mentioned was possible impingement of the L-5 root. The only really significant loking stenosis is at L-1- L-2.
MRI axial images show obliteration of any CSF signal at l1-L2 and L2-L3

I also have drop foot in both feet.

It might be a worth trying to raise that D level ... for you that would be 2000 IU Vit D3 a day. (1000 IU D3 for every 10 points needed to raise.

This poster recently returned with his good progress with
Vit D:
