Lexapro for PCS?

I am new here and I just saw a neurologist after 2 months of symptoms. They confirmed a PCS diagnosis and thought 10 mgs of Lexapro would help. Just wanted to see if anyone here has found it to be helpful.

I am a 38 year old woman. Car accident. Symptoms are pressure in head. Dizzy at times. Irritable, down. Forgetful.

Thanks.

I am on 10 mgs of Lexapro to control my anxiety/stress as a result of the injury and it's working great for me. I experienced no side effect but it took a few weeks before I noticed anything.

I have found Lexapro helpful with depression and anxiety. For a little while I thought it was helping with the headache, but realized that it wasn't decreasing the pain, but with a decrease in depression and anxiety, the headache bugged me less. I sometimes joke "I love my Lexapro. I'm still miserable, but at least I'm happy about it!"

It is easier to focus and concentrate, and take the time I need to function more effectively. Not because the symptoms are alleviated, but because I am not anxious and upset, and am better able to control my emotions and thereby not allow my situation to stress me out, or at least reduce how much it does.

I hope you feel better soon and that Lexapro does help you the way it has helped me. :)
