SO frustrated right now....

Finally found a clinic in AZ that does the ketamine boosters for my husband but Blue Cross Blue Shield won't cover any of it... Waiting for a call back from the clinic to see what it'll cost us without insurance. It absolutely SUCKS that my husband will most likely be denied the care he needs because we don't have an extra $5,000 lying around.....

Check out the Ketamine Klub on facebook. It has files that instruct how to get ketamine approved by your insurance co. and the insurance numbers that need to be filed through your physicians office. You need to apply for membership because it is a private group.

I have blue cross/blue shield and I supplied my physician with the info and codes. I had to pay for my ketamine out-of-pocket initially but just found out that bc/bs was covering my infusions 100%.

Good luck.

Which clinic did u find? I am in AZ and the only one I found was Freedom of Pain Hospital which is kind of connected to The Pain Center of Arizona. They told me that boosters were about $1600. My issue is that they are out of network for me and now that my dh got a 6 month notice I may have no coverage in May and we start our deductible over in January ($6000). We are hoping that he can find another job within the company.

Hang in there. Maybe you can appeal their decision? I have ended up going to Utah for my ketamine for now. I just finished my first booster.

Hope you are able to get through the insurance tangle. My PM had to write a special letter to my insurance and it took about a month for them to approve it. They gave me a "window" of time, but now we have red tape at the hospital as they have not done them before and we are waiting for the anesthesiology board at the hospital to OK the procedure.

Meanwhile, I am having spreads.

Best of luck to you - do NOT give up! I know the ketamine doesn't work for everyone, but I understand it is the most promising out there right now.

6kiddos, how are you doing after your treatment and booster? What was the protocol you had?
