Extreme itching
My daughter, with suspected RSD, has been having bouts of extreme itchiness on her legs. There is no visible irritation, but it is driving her crazy. Is this a typical symptom? If so, what do you suggest? Haven't had much luck with lotions, but open to advice!

This is something that frustrates me. I have terrible itching on my affected area and it hurts so bad when I try to itch it. No visual irritation, just itchiness. I just try lightly scratching or rub something on it. There may be some cream or anything of the sort, but I don't know about it. Just letting you know your daughter isn't alone. Good luck and best wishes.

I get the itching sometimes. If I rub or "scratch" it, it may swell some, then later it goes away and you wouldn't know it had just been all puffy. It's weird and annoying. I haven't found anything that help, but I try not to scratch it too much...that seems to help mine ease up quicker.

I use a commonly prescribed "Triamcinolone" cream. Stronger than hydrocortisone and works well for me. For itching and other minor skin issues.
Pretty benign drug, most doctors will have no problem prescribing this. |
