Thera Cane Trigger Point Tool
 

Does anyone have one of these Thera Cane trigger point tools? If so, do you like it?http://www.theracane.com/

It might be better than the Pressurepointer that I bought. Cheaper for sure pressure pointer was 79..00 in 2004.

the pressure pointer had wooden balls that were kind of slick and not grippy, so they would slide off the spot. and the wooden tips were too hard to be very comfortable.

I think something that is more like a finger, thumb or knuckle texture/pressure/size would be best.
I don't know if thera cane is hard plastic or with some give to the ball areas.

I just ordered one this morning, so I'll give a report after I test it out.

I have the Backnobber tool which is similar but breaks apart for easy travel. You can try these out at Relax the Back stores.

Are these nice to have? I've never seen one before. Are they worth it?

Thera Cane Came Today
 

My Thera Cane came today. I love shopping on Amazon it's so fast and easy. It was 40 bucks including shipping.

I played around with it a little bit and it seems pretty easy to reach anywhere on your body. It has 6 different knobs on it, so there's a lot of different ways you can use it. It also seems pretty easy to find a trigger point and stay on it without having to use much arm strength, which is a good thing. My first impression of it is good, but I'll have to use it for awhile before I can really give a good evaluation of it. I put it away for now because I have a tendency to overdo myself when ever I get something new to play with.

If you have triggerpoints that are hard to reach - like in the muscles of your back, they are great

I have trigger points everywhere :-( Problem is, I don't have the strength to work on them. Does this work like a lever making less strength necessary to use it? If so, I'll definitely have to grab one.

Yes, you get a lot of leverage with this and so it really doesn't take that much arm strength to get pretty deep into the muscle. I was using my thumbs a lot before but that was kind of aggravating my TOS. I really like this thing.

I've been using the Thera Cane everyday since I got it and it works great. It's easy to use pretty much anywhere on your body and it gets in there deep. I have plenty of bruises to prove it. It's definitely worth the money.
