My name is Stephanie and I am from Dalton, GA. I was diagnosed with psuedo tumor cerebri (also called intercranial hypertension) in the spring of 99. I subscribe to Neurology Now and read an article that had this website listed. I thought I would check the site out. I am always looking for new resources to help me better understand the condition I have and to find new treatments.

How are you doing now? Do you have a shunt? I have always had hydrocephalus, and I can tell you a fair amount about shunts. :) The hydro forum, although not very active right now, might be helpful to you:

No, I don't have a shunt. I am not a good subject for a shunt because I am prone to spinal leaks. And the leaks are not in the normal place. I have had 3 leaks in the past 6 years. I am doing ok now, but I have had alot of complications over the years. As reseantly as last year, my neuro ay Emory in Atlanta sent me to the DIamond Headache Clinic in Chicago. The new The spring is a rough time for me in the South. The spring weather patterns play havic on the headaches.
