OT: CRABS Crafts or Get the most 4 your $

Since it is well known among us that the CRABS cost the arms and legs we want them to protect, we need to get as much out of them as we can. :) So...

For C users> The Copaxone Snowflake Tree Ornament...

Cut a 1 3/8 inch circle from cereal box cardboard or from the heavy carding at the back of tablets. Dig out your C syringes from the toss box. Pull the plunger out of them. The plunger will have a round top for your thumb to push and the other end will have a gray ridged bit of rubber. Take the rubber thingie off and save it for the next C craft.

Hot glue the pointy ends of four whole plungers to the circle so that the round push tops stick out in the directions of the compass- north, south, east and west. Like this> +

Then take 4 more of the plunger rods and cut 1/2 inch off the the pointy bottom. Wire cutters/heavy scissors will do the job.
Glue the cut off ends of these in between each of the 4 long ones already attached to the circle. (Its beginning to look like a snowflake if you squint real hard and use mega imagination.)

Now cut four more plungers in half and glue the 8 pieces in between each of the plunger spokes already glued to the circle. Alternate the pointy short pieces with the round topped short ones for a balanced look.

Spray paint them metallic gold or burgundy or white. When the paint is dry, tie a piece of green embroidery thread at the top of one long spoke for the wire ornament hanger to hook to. My toss box was nearly full so I made 20 of these snowflakes. Ta Da ! :D

And not forgetting the gray plunger tips, you too can make>
Copaxone Beaded Necklaces....

Use a thickish needle threaded with necklace strength thread. Grab the little plunger tip and put the needle on the outside of the rounded end and push into the tip to create a hole. (If you push the needle through the hollow end first and out through the rounded tip, it is hard to know the exact center and the hole may be off center and not string nicely.) String the Copaxone plunger rubber tips with other conventional beads of your choosing. The ridges give them an interesting look and give them as gifts. You can honestly tell the recipient they are the most expensive beads you've ever used. :p

Not having ever seen the R,B,A syringes, I do not know if they will work in the above applications but am confident that they too have an alter usefulness.

You are killing me here...I just started laughing it seemed so absurd to make crafts this way

NEEDLECRAFT

HAHAHA...roflmao...going to make one for my neuro, my PT, my therapist, my attorney...you name it...
OMG you need to make one and send it to all the CRABS companies too! how about a show on Montel?

Going to try and make a pin out of one and wear it on my lapel

You made my day
Wish I could figure out what to do with all these ugly color pill containers

OMG Graymatters> NEEDLECRAFT. Now that is good. Wish I'd have thought of it.

Yes, we need to figure out secondary uses for all these things that decorate our lives now. Will a candle fit in the pill bottles? Someone will have the perfect idea what to do with them.

The nurse who used to do my plasma infusions saved the spent I.V. benadryl bottles cause they are so little and made necklaces out of them for other infusion nurses.

And thanks, you gave me a great idea. My neuro is such a kewl man. He will SO get a kick out of a C tree ornament and some of my m.ssy friends. Ha. Do you also do C or one of the others. I'm curious if they are made the same so there could be B orns, etc.

As for your pin. Cut the plastic plunger end off to the desired length and make a mini star only all one length, like a daisy and have the gray Copaxone rubber bead as the center. Oh and spray the plastic petals white first. You'll be the envy of the non m.s. world. People will be begging you to sell them your old syringe parts, you'll see.

I've wanted to collect avonex boxes for years and make a little cabana but no space to save the buggers.
Instead save them until I can't stand it and might make lawn sculpture.
You can shave the styrofoam to shape and spray paint.Faux totems or japanese rock sculpture.

Where is my MUSE....:D
