Long Term Effects of Depressed Skull Fracture

I suffered a depressed skull fracture from an accident over ten years ago. I was going to have surgery but they decided against it since there was more a risk than benefit (I wasn't having seizures, etc.) A few years later, I developed migraines and "zaps" as the nerve endings were healing. I still suffer from migraines but they are manageable.

My question is - this past week or so, I have noticed increased sensitivity, almost like a bruise feeling, around the fracture but not actually at the point of impact. It causes headache-like symptoms if touched at all. Is there something different that could be going on this late after my actual injury occured? Pressure build up? Etc.?.. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
